Oaxacan Animals
My collection of Oaxacan animal carvings is a great subject to work from. Students can easily draw their shapes and then get super creative in creating patterns on them!

Fish, fish and more fish!
While the clay pots made the previous week were drying, this week's class drew underwater scenes using markers. I encouraged then to look for and add details from their photo references.
Abby and Esther worked as a team.
Matthew accepted a lot of challenges in this, like drawing that gnarly football fish!

Andrew... he hid since he ALWAYS has to make a super goofy face for the camera.
Meaghan concentrates on getting that coral just right!
Drew developed lots of textural patterns.

Art Camps - Week 3
So many fabulous artists in my camps! I feel privileged to guide these kids. I put the materials out there with a bit of instruction... it's amazing to see what they come up with!
